Creating & Managing Events

Events are the foundation of CDN. Each event represents a dance competition that account owners can register their competitors for.

Creating an Event

  1. Go to Events in the sidebar
  2. Click Create Event
  3. Fill in the details:
    • Event name
    • Date(s) and venue
    • Description
    • Registration deadlines
  4. Click Save

Entry Definitions

After creating the event, you'll need to define the entries — the combinations of group, style, and type that competitors can enter.

Each entry definition is a specific combination — for example, 12 Years — Contemporary / Solo.

Managing an Event

From the Events page, click on any event to access:

  • Edit details — update name, dates, venue, descriptions
  • View registrations — see which competitors have entered
  • Tickets — set up spectator ticket sales
  • Streams — configure paid live streaming
  • Photography — assign photographers

Tips

  • Define your entries before publishing the event
  • Set up event pricing before opening registration
  • Build the schedule well in advance of the event
